Writing in the Early Morning
I write best at 3 a.m.
when my mind has long gone
and all that is left
is my heart and your memory
Joie Bauman is a young, emerging writer from Holmdel, New Jersey who is currently studying social work at a small community college. She coaches club track and field for elementary and middle school students and has since learned that her athletes are actually tiny fountains of magic and optimism. Joie’s greatest conflict in life is deciding whether she should first introduce herself as a vegan or as a CrossFitter. Her work has been published in Serendipity Literary Magazine and The Esthetic Apostle. She can visit her blog at http://jmbauman.tumblr.com.
