The Big Apple
Sometimes it’s hard to believe you’ve reached the garden
when everybody keeps searching for gold,
picking desperately at flakes of mica in the sidewalks
tearing the roads apart to dig out the dream.
Rebecca Cohen is a graduate of the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, where she minored in creative writing. She is currently pursuing a secondary degree in the United Kingdom, whilst continuing to write both poems and short fiction. She was born and raised in New York, along with her three sisters, who inspire her every day and have had a profound effect on her writing.
