A Word from the Editor

Welcome to Issue 3.3! After experiencing some technical difficulties, we’re finally launching this new issue into the world a few hours late. We hope it will be worth the wait!

Please don’t forget our Short Story and Nonfiction Contests. The deadline is swiftly approaching! There are only 10 days left to get your submissions to us. The entry fees for these contests will be used to help cover the costs of running the journal so that we can continue to accept work with no reading fees. Also, 12.5% of each entry fee will be donated to Care.org to empower women and girls around the world.

In today’s issue, we know you’ll enjoy a poignant nonfiction piece by Pam Munter titled “Alpha and Omega,” a lovely short story by Raima Larter titled “Laundry Day,” and a poem that is all to real to women in 2017 by Ava Bird titled “Always on the Look Out.” If you enjoy these pieces, please connect with the authors at their online homes. I know they would love  hear from readers!

Until next time!

Sincerely,

Rachel Holbrook
