Happy New Year! I can’t believe it’s already 2019!

2018 was a wonderful year for the Same. We were able to publish incredible poetry, fiction, and nonfiction by talented women writers from around the world. Our audience grew steadily each month, and we are thrilled with the reception our contributors have received.

In 2019, we are headed in a new direction. Since its inception, the Same has been a weekly, online journal. This year, we are going to make the transition to a quarterly print journal, with the first print issue coming out this summer! We are very excited about taking this step.

Between now and then, we will be running contests with cash prizes and posting on the website on a non-weekly basis. Please follow our site at the bottom of this page to get email updates when we post something new, including announcements of contests and when we will be open to submissions. Also, if you’re not following us on Twitter, you can click at the bottom of this page to follow us there, too.
